Workshop at the Natural Farming Center in Alagonia

Nature shows us the way!

EPAL Messinis visited the Natural Farming Center in Alagonia, where agronomist and natural farming practitioner Mr. Panagiotis Manikis welcomed us and introduced us to the principles of natural farming.

When humans move beyond the need to control and allow the wisdom of nature to guide them, the conditions for a stable, healthy and productive ecosystem can naturally develop. At the Alagonia Natural Farming Center, the technique of seed balls, inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka, is used to promote biodiversity, which in turn leads to balance and harmony.

Students and teachers actively participated in making seed balls, which we brought back to our school to create our own productive ecosystem.

We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Manikis and the volunteers of the Natural Farming Center for their warm hospitality.
